Heidi Sanborn: Founding Executive Director

WHO IS HEIDI?

Heidi Sanborn is the founding Director of the National Stewardship Action Council and the Stewardship Action Foundation. With over 30 years experience being a leader in the solid waste industry, Heidi is the nation's foremost expert on producer responsibility and product stewardship.

In her personal time, Heidi is an elected Board Member representing Ward 7 on the Sacramento Municipal Utility District Board. Sanborn lives with her husband and father, who support and enjoy her work on clean energy and waste reduction and recycling. She and her husband, Brad are passionate animal-lovers that have rescued and fostered 67 dogs. Heidi was formerly the President of the National Alliance for Mental Illness' Sacramento Chapter and still advocates for mental health services. She also fundraises for the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento.
