The Stewardship Action Foundation staff have a combined 40+ years of experience in waste management program design and implementation. We have completed many successful projects with different businesses on source reduction and recycling programs and lead pilot projects in strategy and facilitation. These very successful and innovative projects include take-back and recycling of 1 lb. reusable propane cylinders, fluorescent lighting, battery recycling, pharmaceuticals, needles, textiles, and more.

We would like to extend an invitation to you to join the Stewardship Action Foundation. We are dedicated to advancing the circular and equitable economy in the United States by educating on how to reduce waste and pollution, keep materials in motion at their highest value, regenerate natural systems, and address environmental racism. We align the public and private sectors through information and partnerships to implement and ensure circular systems where producers have an appropriate share of the responsibility for those systems.

1% for the Planet Environmental Partner
1% for the Planet was founded on the model of a business membership program where responsible businesses give back to environmental nonprofits to create a healthier planet.
SAF encourages other businesses in the network to select SAF as their recipient non-profit.
Benevity
SAF is now on Benevity, a certified B Corp that allows corporations to take social action. Benevity provides a donation-processing platform that companies, who recognize their role in bettering communities, can use to streamline their workplace giving and matching programs. Users can make donations to SAF and have their gifts matched by their employer.
