WAYS TO SUPPORT OUR WORK
SAF is proud to be affiliated with 1% for the Planet and Benevity Causes, two networks that strengthen our mission to build a responsible, circular economy through partnerships and sustainable funding. Together, these affiliations allow us to collaborate with like-minded organizations and individuals who share our commitment to a sustainable future. By uniting our efforts with 1% for the Planet and Benevity Causes, SAF can secure resources and foster the partnerships necessary to accelerate our work for environmental equity, waste reduction, and responsible product stewardship.
1% for the Planet Environmental Partner
1% for the Planet was founded on the model of a business membership program where responsible businesses give back to environmental nonprofits to create a healthier planet. Business members join the network and commit to donating the equivalent of 1% of gross sales through a combination of monetary, in-kind, and approved promotional support directly to environmental nonprofits. Non-profit organizations must be recommended by a participating business or individual. SAF was recommended to the 1% for the Planet network in 2022 and has been a non-profit partner since. SAF encourages other businesses in the network to select SAF as their recipient non-profit.
Benevity
SAF is on Benevity, a certified B Corp that allows corporations to take social action. Benevity provides a donation-processing platform that companies, who recognize their role in bettering communities, can use to streamline their workplace giving and matching programs. Users can make donations to SAF and have their gifts matched by their employer.
