Before comments on the draft Responsible End Markets (REM) Standard were due on July 7, Circular Action Alliance (CAA) joined the National Stewardship Action Council, Stewardship Action Foundation, and Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) members to walk through the proposed standard, answer questions, and provide additional context. While the standard is intended to support REM requirements in states with packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws, its implications are likely to extend well beyond those states and influence how materials are managed, verified, and marketed throughout the recycling value chain.
